Swimming and younger visitors
Rainbow Springs is a deep natural swimming area, with no lifeguard on duty. The park’s amenities page lists depths of 10–18 feet. Plan supervision and appropriate flotation before arriving. Inflatables are prohibited at headsprings; life preservers and noodles are permitted.
Paths and the headsprings launch
Some garden paths are steep or uneven. Bringing a private kayak to the headsprings requires an approximately 1,800-foot carry from parking; there is no vehicle access to the river launch. Contact the park to discuss current accessible routes and facilities for your specific needs.
Tours, transfers, and boarding
Ask your operator about getting into and out of the boat or tube, access to shuttles and trams, distances from parking, restroom access, and whether a companion can assist. A tour described as guided may still require substantial paddling.
Children’s tubing requirements
KP Hole lists a minimum tubing age of three. State park and concession pages give different age guidance; confirm directly with Guest Services at 833-945-2925 before booking for a child.
Animals at KP Hole
Marion County prohibits pets at KP Hole except service animals. Contact the park directly about service-animal access arrangements; do not rely on a third-party tour FAQ.
