Florida State Parks requires a day-use reservation at the main headsprings/swimming entrance, including for annual passholders. Check the official reservation instructions for your visit.
Make this your starting point
Use the state park’s main entrance at 19158 SW 81st Place Road, Dunnellon. It serves the headsprings swimming area. The park’s tubing operation uses a separate road entrance.
Plan around your group
Choose water activities that match everyone’s ability. The park describes the swimming area as 10–18 feet deep, with no lifeguard on duty. Tubes, rafts, inflatable balls, and other inflatables are prohibited at the headsprings; life preservers and noodles are permitted. Tubing is not allowed here. Check the park’s current swimming guidance, supervision arrangements, and accessibility information before visiting. Bring suitable flotation and keep children closely supervised.

Reserve entry and check parking
Reservations open up to 60 days ahead; same-day reservations depend on available capacity. Annual passholders also need a reservation. Save a digital or printed receipt.
Open Florida State Parks reservations
The park lists limited parking during renovations, September 9, 2026–February 4, 2027. Check the latest notice before traveling.
Keep the day flexible
Leave time for a break on land and check the forecast before swimming. Follow on-site instructions if weather or park conditions change. A park visit does not include a separate tour, rental, or tubing booking unless the provider explicitly says so.
